3rd 1,95 Another Secret (Barnes/Bosch A 56kg draw 3) Lightly framed athletic sort, some pace and stayed on with a fair action. 59.46 seconds

4th 2,65 Blush Of Dawn (Mgudlwa/Puller  s 56kg draw 5) Well put together, has natural pace and a nice big action. 59.57 seconds

5th 4,65 Rasputin’s Remedy (Brown/Puller S 57kg draw 4) 59.86 seconds. Tall and still immature, outpaced but stayed on under driving.

6th 9,15 Western Path (Randolph/Whitehead A 58kg draw 6) Dwelt, showed some zip, but was green and couldn’t keep up. 60.5 seconds

7th 9,55 Sabina’s Dynasty (Wright/Crawford MR 106 S 59kg draw 10) Was just out for a pipe opener and was kept under a tight hold. 60.57 seconds

1st Miss Florida (Ferraris/Snaith s 56kg draw 1) This Captain Al filly out of a five-time winning Trippi mare from 1200-1400m is well put together and athletic. She strode out with a good action throughout. 60.35 seconds

2nd 0,20 Quatro Five Six (Jacobson/Govender S 57kg draw 5) Broke well and showed some pace and ran all the way to the line with a fair action without being asked to do much. 60.39 seconds

3rd 0,45 Innogen (Fourie/Snaith A 56kg draw 8) This classy looking Master Of My Fate filly is out of a six-time winning Counter Action mare, who won the Listed Winter Oaks over 2200m and the Listed Jockey Club Stakes over 2000m. Strode out well throughout and is one to look out for over further. 60.43 seconds

4th 5,20 Annaberg (Veale/Drier S 56kg draw 4) Big Twice Over filly out of a three-time winning 89 merit rated Count Dubois mare from 1200-1400m. Was outpaced but stayed on and strode out well. Will need further. 61.14 seconds

5th 8,20 Strawberrypoptart (Samuel/Naidoo A 58kg draw 7) Showed fair pace but couldn’t match the leaders in the straight. 61.62 seconds

6th 8,25 Mia Noir (Ngwane/Kannemeyer a 56kg draw 6) Athletic sort, no mistaking who the sire is (Capetown Noir), and after being green in the early stages she stayed on well. Will improve. 61.63 seconds

7th 10,50 Lord Muck (Hewitson/Tarry A 59kg draw 3) Immature sort who needs further. Outpaced and then stayed on. 61.99 seconds

8th 10,65 Rock With Me (Zackey/C van Zyl 57kg draw 2) Couldn’t match the vanguard for pace and made little impression in the straight despite being relatively hard ridden. 62.02 seconds

2nd 0,35 Riptide (Ferraris/Tarry MR78 A t 58kg draw 3) Pace and stayed on well without being asked a lot 58.11 seconds

3rd 2,35 Stelvio (Veale/Drier MR80 S 59kg draw 1) Some pace and was under a hold but could not match the front pair. 58.4 seconds

4th 5,10 Keep It Real (Jacobs -4 kg/G Kotzen MR79 A 58kg draw 2) A touch outpaced early but stayed on under a hold and strode out well. 58.83 seconds

2nd 0,30 Celestial Gold (Ngwane/L Crawford MR59 a 59kg draw 2) Strode out and stayed on well, will come on from the outing, her first for more than nine months. 59.63 seconds

3rd 0,60 Drunken Sailor (Kennedy/G Van Zyl MR86 S 59kg draw 3) Tall sort with plenty of scope and a big action. Stayed on well and will come on from the run, his first for six months. 59.68 seconds

4th 3,10 Miss Jagger (Ferraris/C van Zyl MR66 AP 58kg draw 1) Dwelt but stayed on quite well thereafter, although her head was turned towards the stands in the straight. 60.04 seconds

2nd 2,50 Runaway Gal (Hewitson B Crawford MR87 A t 58kg draw 1) Showed a good turn of foot from midfield and stayed on well. 59.53 seconds

3rd 7,30 Sigismund (Sakayi -1.5 kg/Gordon MR70 A t 59kg draw 2) Strode out well but could not match the front pair. 60.2 seconds

4th 8,20 African Apollo (Mjoka -1.5 kg/Howells A 59kg draw 9) This scopey sort dwelt and was last and green around the turn. He then stayed on with a big stride. 60.34 seconds

5th 8,60 Passivity (Samuel/Denysschen a 58kg draw 3) Athletic sort with scope and a nice action. Bumped and then baulked on the turn, shuffling her back, but then stayed on well. 60.4 seconds

6th 10,50 Sacred Ibis (Ramzan -4 kg/Puller A 56kg draw 6) Showed good gatespeed and early pace to lead. Was overtaken by older horses in the straight. 60.66 seconds

7th 10,65 Cop That (Gates -2.5 kg/Denysschen 58kg draw 10) Has a fair action and some pace. Raced wide and stayed on well in the straight. 60.71 seconds

2nd 0,40 Rose Dancer(Veale/Drier S 56kg draw 4) Has substance and a nice action and stayed on well. Will pay her way at least. 61.27 seconds

3rd 0,45 Tom Bombadil (Randolph/Moore a 57kg draw 5) Outpaced early but then strode out well and stayed on readily. 61.28 seconds

4th 0,85 Della Citta (Fourie/Bosch S 56kg draw 3) This Count Dubois filly showed some pace. Doesn’t have a big stride and might take more after her dam Darkness Bright (West Man) who was a four times winning sprinter. 61.34 seconds

5th 1,35 Justinian (Brown/Govender S 57kg draw 2) Tall and has some scope. Slow away and driven in the final part of the turn before staying on with quite a big action. 61.43 seconds

6th 3,35 Star Fusion (Ferraris/Tarry A 58kg draw 8) Not an imposing sort but showed some zip and a nice action in the straight when staying on. 61.73 seconds

7th 4,15 Princess Sidi (Samuel/Singh s 56kg draw 7) Slow away but has a rangy action and stayed on well 61.86 seconds

8th 4,65 Kewpie Doll (Ramzan -4 kg/Dixon S 58kg draw 6) Showed some pace but couldn’t match them in the straight despite the slow time. 61.95 seconds

2nd 5,30 Mah Bin (Arries/N Kotzen s 57kg draw 3) Was green but showed some pace and a fair action. Bred to go further so this was a fair trial. 60.17 seconds

3rd 6,10 Uncle Frank (Ferraris/G Van Zyl S 57kg draw 6) Greys Inn gelding out of a twice winning Muhtafal half-sister to the useful The West Is Wide. Dwelt before showing a fair action, but was green and looking around. 60.3 seconds

4th 6,80 High Voltage (Khan/Howells A 57kg draw 2) This R450,000 Querari colt is out of a once-winning full sister to Listed-winning Captain Al colt Captain Dino. Showed a nice big action but was green. 60.41 seconds

5th 8,40 Sweet Empress (Randolph/Whitehead A 58kg draw 4) Still immature and ran green, the penny has not dropped. Pushed along throughout the turn in a handy position and also pushed along in the straight. 60.62 seconds

6th 8,65 Nitzram (Samuel/Naidoo A 57kg draw 7) Dwelt and then raced wide. Quite well put together and can improve. 60.67 seconds

7th 9,15 Mamba Duke (Kennedy/G Van Zyl S 57kg draw 1) Has a nice action and plenty of scope but was green and never had much room in the straight to let himself down. 60.74 seconds
