1^st Salsero (Fourie/Bosch AP 59kg draw 1) Showed pace and strode out well throughout. 61.04 seconds.

2^nd 0,10 Cavalieri (Randolph/M J Odendaal s 57kg draw 3) Showed some pace before being dropped out. Displayed a good turn of foot in the straight and a good action. Made up the ground without much effort. 61.07 seconds

3^rd 0,20 Jamie’s Joy (Ferraris/Bosch A 58kg draw 5) Fair pace and stayed on without being asked a lot. Has a fair action and scope for improvement. 61.09 seconds

4^th 0,50 Fire Faerie (Gates -2.5 kg/N Kotzen s t 56kg draw 2) Slow away but showed signs of speed when making up the ground under a tight hold. Displayed a nice action and this was a fair trial. 61.14 seconds

5^th 2,60 Pure Quality (Yeni/N Kotzen s 57kg draw 4) Sluggush start, up with the pace out wide. Left a bit flat footed in the straight but has quite a big action and can improve. 61.42 seconds

First Trial

1^st Hot Money (Randolph/Whitehead A 56kg draw 2) Showed good zip, was kept to the task in the straight and continued to go well without exerting much energy. 57.87 seconds

2^nd 0,25 Wolfgang (De Melo/Kannemeyer a 57kg draw 5) Smart colt with plenty of substance and after a slow start made up the ground well and strode out well. 57.9 seconds

3^rd 0,30 Prince Of Venice (Kennedy/J J van Vuuren A 57kg draw 7) Good pace, nice big action and did it effortlessly throughout. 57.91 seconds

4^th 6,30 Mouille Point (MoodleyPuller A 56kg draw 8) Showed fair pace, caught wide and had to be ridden to stay in touch with the front trio. 58.71 seconds.

5^th 8,50 Ramsay (Veale/Drier S 57kg draw 3) Has substance and showed good pace, but was green around the bend. Displayed quite a nice big action in the straight and has scope. 59.02seconds.

6^th 13,60 Open Market (Wright/Hill S 56kg draw 1) Green and outpaced but has some scope and could improve. 59.77 seconds.

7^th 15,60 Malay (Samuel/Naidoo A 57kg draw 4) Driven from the off and showed some zip but couldn’t match the others. Stayed on and could improve. 60.05 seconds.

2^nd 1,50 Valiente (Wright/B Crawford S 57kg draw 6) Athletic type who has some substance and a good action. Was not hard pressed throughout. 59.7 seconds

3^rd 3,75 Liberty Hall (De Melo/Kannemeyer a 57kg draw 5) Immature and has some scope. Was green but showed some pace and a fair action, so will improve. 60.1 seconds

4th 5,00 Brotherhood (Hewitson/Tarry A 59kg draw 1) Tall, has scope and a galloping action. Handy throughout and will improve. 60.3 seconds

5^th 6,75 Baby Shooz (Jacobson/B Crawford S 57kg draw 3) Has scope. Stayed on well from behind and displayed a good action. 60.6 seconds

2^nd 0,30 Cherry Road (Dillon C van Zyl s 56kg draw 1) Quick action. Green around turn and then stayed on and can improve. 59,00 seconds 0

3^rd 2,60 Thomas Shelby (Kennedy/Van Vuuren S 57kg draw 6) Compact sort, showed pace and stayed on in the hands. 59.35 seconds

4^th 4,70 The Vow (Hewitson/Bosch A 56kg draw 5) Nice, big horse. Slowly away and green but stayed on well with a fair action and has plenty of scope. 59.64 seconds

5^th 4,95 Emerald Diamond (Brown/Anthony s 56kg draw 4) Showed some pace and a fair action but was green and can improve once the penny drops. 59.68 seconds

6^th 5,95 King Ka Ching (Godden/Naidoo A 57kg draw 3) Dwelt but once warmed up in the straight began staying on with a fair action. 59.82 seconds

7^th 9,05 Majete (Ferraris/Snaith A 57kg draw 2) Nicely put together, fair action and plenty of scope. Was not asked any questions and will improve. 60.26 seconds

Second Trial

1^st Escape Club (Veale/Drier MR84 S 59kg draw 5) Fair pace and strode out quite well. 58.84 seconds.

2^nd 0.05 Ancient Spirit (AUS) (De Melo/Van Vuuren MR77 A 59kg draw 6) Strode out quite well and showed acceleration in the straight when asked the question. 58.85 seconds.

3^rd 6,15 Queen’s Plain (Kennedy/G Van Zyl (Jnr) MR51 s t 59kg draw 3) Strode out well and stayed on resolutely, although outpaced late. One to watch over 1400-1600m off a nice current handicap mark and representing a new yard. 59.68 seconds.

4^th 11,15 Siberian Sunset (Brown/Dittmer S 58kg draw 1) Showed some pace and stayed on with a fair action. 60.37 seconds.

5^th 13,05 Sabrena (Jacobson/Denysschen 59kg draw 2) Was a bit keen but showed some zip and can improve. 60.66 seconds.

6^th 22,05 Silver Suo Jure (J L Samuel/L Denysschen 59kg draw 4) Dwelt and was outpaced but can improve. 62.15 seconds.

1^st Captain Demonami (Lerena/Forbes S 57kg draw 8) Nicely put together and showed a nice, big galloping action. Did it quite easily throughout. 59.87 seconds.

2^nd 1,60 Looney Bin (Jacobs -4 kg/Lafferty A 57kg draw 2) Stayed on well from a handy position, fair action. 60.07 seconds.

3^rd 1,70 Love Theme (K Sakayi -1.5 kg/Howells S 59kg draw 7) Has substance and showed some pace with a galloping action. Stayed on. 60.09 seconds.

4^th 1,95 Deer Park (Jacobson/Govender S 57kg draw 6) Nice, big, rangy action and did it easily. 60.14 seconds.

5^th 5,45 Binary Star (Godden/Wright A 57kg draw 3) Showed some pace but was green and jumped a shadow. Fair action and has scope for improvement. 60.65 seconds.

6^th 8,45 Tussie-Mussie (Zackey/Howells A 56kg draw 4) Quite a nice stride but was green. Can improve. 61.12 seconds.

7^th 11,20 Let’s Blaze (Ngwane/Forbes S 57kg draw 5) Dwelt, lost many lengths, showed a fair action in the straight when staying on. 61.53 seconds.

8^th 11,45 Kaydens Princess (Veale/Hill S 56kg draw 1) Immature, showed some pace to lead, but could not match them in the straight and was then eased down. 61.58 seconds.

9^th 16,05 Noble Deed (Moodley/Miller A t 57kg draw 9) Big horse with scope but from a wide draw was soon outpaced and appears to need further. 62.27 seconds.

First Trial

1^st Lady Caroline Lamb (W Kennedy/C D van Zyl 56kg Draw 4) Very nice type – scopey filly. Won Trial in very slow time.

2^nd Wintertime 1.70 (B Jacobson/G van Zyl (Jnr) 56kg Draw 9) Ran on nicely to the line. Attractive filly with plenty of scope.

3^rd Preferential 2.80 (T Godden/A Wright 56kg Draw 1) Caught the eye in the paddock. Moves well and is one for the notebook.

4^th Castellano 4.05 (* K Sakayi -1.5 kg/G S Kotzen 56kg Draw 8) Stayed on at one-pace. Room for improvement. Fair trial.

5^th Royal Kitty 4.20 (* L J Ferraris/A Wright 56kg Draw 7) Nice type. Seemed to need this trial quite badly and has plenty of scope for improvement.

6^th Arctic Princess 4.30 (E S Ngwane/G S Kotzen 56kg Draw 6) Showed some pace – very green – will benefit from another Trial.

7^th Treading Water 4.80 (S Brown/D S Bosch 57kg Draw 2) Seems quite temperamental – one-paced effort.

8^th Pink Rose 4.85 (G Wright/W A Nel 58kg Draw 5) Appears to have a sway back and only time will tell! One-paced.

9^th Noble Diana 10.35 (* T Gumede -4 kg/L W Goosen 56kg Draw 3) Small filly, lacking in scope. Showed pace but faded quickly. Poor trial.

Second Trial

1^st Room At The Top (G Wright/W A Nel 60kg Draw 4) Went through his paces well – always in command.

2^nd Winters Calling 2.00 (T Godden/A Wright 57kg Draw 1) 7Nice type – promising trial and worth following.

3^rd Bold Phoenix 2.50(C Orffer/B Crawford 57kg Draw 8) Very nice colt – steady pace throughout and could be a smart sort in the making.

4^th Blazing Pace 4.50 (*Y Ramzan -4 kg/G S Kotzen 57kg Draw 6) Not a bad trial – failed to quicken but appears to have scope for improvement.

5^th Magic Bean 4.90 (W Kennedy/G van Zyl (Jnr) 56kg Draw 2) One-paced in the straight – could need further to be most effective.

6^th Fred 5.80 (B Jacobson/B Crawford 57kg Draw 5) Good-looking colt but appeared in the ring to be on the “soft” side – possibly needs time!

7^th King Mouse 7.10 (*X Jacobs -4 kg/G S Kotzen 57kg Draw 3) Bred for much further and sprinted up here accordingly.

8^th Impressive Master 15.10 (*L J Ferraris/D S Bosch 57k Draw 7) Very poor trial – needs more experience and time.

9^th Razza Del Toro 18.60 (E S Ngwane/G van Zyl (Jnr) 59kg Draw 9) Very poor trial – appears to have limited scope for improvement.

2^nd 14,25 Up River (ARG) (Wright/Hill S 57kg draw 5) Tall with some substance and a fair action. 60.13 seconds

3^rd 14,50 Itsprinceofpeace (Samuel/Singh A 57kg draw 9) Slow away and ran on from last with a fair action. 60.18 seconds

4^th 16,20 Stunning Guest (Brown/Campbell MR43 A 59kg draw 10) Midfield stayed on. 60.42 seconds

5^th 16,70 Lamberti (Moodley/Van Wyk A 57kg draw 1) Handy. Quite a nice, big action, not asked a lot and can improve. 60.51 seconds
