1st Tweed Valley (Ferraris/Naidoo MR77 A 59kg draw 10) Good pace throughout under a hold. 57.71 seconds

2nd 3,50 Travelling Light (Moodley/Puller A 56kg draw 3) This Gimmethegreenlight half-sister to twice winner Triple fate Line has substance. Was green but showed good natural pace and was just held together in the straight. 58.29 seconds

3rd 9,50 Salah’s Girl (Ngwane/Goosen A 56kg draw 5) Dwelt, midfield. Showed a nice action and quickened well. 59.29      seconds

4th 10,00 Dry Var (Yeni/Kotzen S 57kg draw 4) Big Var gelding with a high knee action. Had to be driven in the straight. 59.36 seconds

5th 10,25 King Of The Corn (Mgudlwa/Puller MR86 A 60kg draw 12) Strode out well, cramped when staying on from the back and stayed on again without being asked a lot. 59.42 seconds

6th 10,50 Daidala (Kennedy/Van Zyl (Jnr) MR68 s 58kg draw 8) This tall King’s Chapel filly won on debut over 1400m and was cramped for room when staying on from the rear. 59.46 seconds

7th 10,90 Elementary (Gates -2.5 kg/Goosen A 57kg draw 11) Dwelt, showed some pace and was full of gallop but had a high head carriage. 59.54 seconds

8th 11.30 Lady Secret (De Melo/Bosch S 56kg draw 9) Showed pace and a fair action and was just held together in the straight. 59.61 seconds.

9th 11,35 Blanket Of Snow (Sakayi -1.5 kg/G Kotzen s 56kg draw 7) Slow away bumped but ran on well from the back without being asked a lot. 59.62 seconds

10th 12,15 Della Citta (Hewitson/Bosch S 56kg draw 1) Was green throughout and had to be driven, will likely need another trial. 59.75 seconds

11th 12,65 Africadia (Wright/Hill S 57kg draw 6) Has quite a nice big action but was cramped for room in the straight and eased down. Will improve. 59.84 seconds

12th 12,70 Snowfall (Brown/Freedman S 56kg draw 2) Slow away, green and had to be driven to stay in touch in the straight but can improve. 59.85 seconds
