1^st Getaway (Randolph/Whitehead MR 79 A 58kg draw 9) Showed good pace throughout and did it quite easily. Strode out well. 59.87 seconds

2^nd 1,60 Linear (Khan/Forbes St 58kg draw 8) Fought for her head after being dropped out but then ran on well with a nice action. 60.1

3^rd 2,20 Hondo (Lembethe/Puller MR 59 A 60kg draw 5) Has a nice action and scope for improvement. Showed some pace and strode out well. 60.21        

4^th 6,40 Command Respect (Samuel/Humby MR60 A 60kg draw 6) Tall horse, displayed quite a nice rangy, daisy-cutting action so can improve but is likely to need further.  60.84 seconds

5^th 7,65 Silver Cent (Jacobs -4 kg/L Crawford MR60 aC 60kg draw 2) Showed some pace but began fighting with the rider. Strode out well in the straight but was a bit outpaced. 61.02 seconds

6^th 13,95 See The Prize (Sakayi -2.5 kg/Dittmer s 58kg draw 3) Slow away green and unsettled for a couple of strides, outpaced in the straight. 62.04 seconds

7^th 14,45 Double Gemini (Wright/Humby s 60kg draw 7) Has some scope, was caught wide and not asked to do a lot, can improve when sent over distance. 62.12 seconds

8^th 14,75 Imperial Seal (Pagel/Denysschen A 58kg draw 1) Very slowly away and had to be pushed along. 62.19 seconds

9^th 22,00 Painted Black (Gates -4 kg/Wright  A 59kg draw 4) Some pace, but green and fought for head before fading. 63.34 seconds

1^st Little Bristol (Hewitson/Tarry A 58kg draw 1) Showed fair pace throughout and although not a long-striding sort she has a high stride rate. 61.46 seconds

2^nd 3,25 Abbey (Gates -4 kg/Anthony A 58kg draw 3) Has scope but was green and outpaced. Stumbled around the turn before running on with quite a nice stride in the straight. Can improve 61.95 seconds

3^rd 7,50 Gimmearose (Ngwane/Gadsby A 58kg draw 2) Was slow away and outpaced throughout. 62.59 seconds

4^th 9,75 Diamond Mine (Moodley/Anthony A 58kg draw 4) Showed some good early pace but faded tamely and might need more time. 62.93 seconds

1^st Last Of The Legend (Hewitson/Tarry A 59kg draw 4) Displayed a nice big action and after racing wide throughout ran on well without being asked any questions. 61.63 seconds

2^nd 1,10 Owl Call (Moodley/Puller A 59kg draw 2) Was green but strode out quite well with a galloping action but wasn’t doing it as easily as the winner.  61.79 seconds

3^rd 1,15 Charlie Mccreevy (Khan/Forbes S 59kg draw 1) Strode out well but had to be given a backhander in the straight despite the slow pace so looks likely to need a lot further. 61.8 seconds

4^th 4,45 Velvet Season (Wright/Nel S 59kg draw 3) Strode out quite well but was green and then outpaced in the straight despite the slow pace. 62.3 seconds

1^st Truly Wicked (Khan/Forbes MR86 S  59kg draw 3) Strode out well, quite a high knee action and will prefer a mile. 59.5 seconds

2^nd 0,20 Ella’s World (Lerena/Bosch MR82 A 58kg draw 2) Strode out very well throughout under a hold. 59.55 seconds

3^rd 4,00 The Kid (Ngwane/Crawford 59kg draw 4) Strode out nicely throughout and stayed on under a hold. 60.1 seconds

4^th 5,90 Steelheart (Godden/Forbes S 58kg draw 5) Outpaced in the straight and had to be rousted but did make some late progress. 60.4 seconds

5^th 6,30 Variety Concert (Kennedy/Van Zyl (Jnr) s 58kg draw 1) Took a keen hold and kept on a tight rein throughout so will have to learn to settle better. 60.45 seconds

1^st Making Waves (Kennedy/Bosch MR86 A 58kg draw 3) Took a keen hold and ran on from second in the running. Strode out well. 58.87 seconds

2^nd 0,70 Autumn In Seattle (Godden/Lunn MR97 A 60kg draw 6) Showed good pace but was pulling in front. Not hard pushed in the front and tired slightly at the end. 58.98 seconds

3^rd 2,40 Kingdom Come (AUS) (Zackey/Lafferty A t 59kg draw 10) Strode out well but has a breathing problem due to an entrapped epiglottis. 59.21        

4^th 2,70 Shoot The Wagon (Moodley/Lafferty A 58kg draw 2) Strode out well and stayed on from near the back, can improve. 59.26 seconds

5^th 3,20 Dons Assembly (De Melo/Kannemeyer A 59kg draw 1) Strode out well but had to be urged along in the straight so will need further. 59.34 seconds

6^th 3,50 Shadrack (J Gates -4 kg/Lafferty A 59kg draw 7) Showed some pace and has a nice action but still green. Can improve. 59.39 seconds

7^th 3,55 Roy’s Just Kidding (Pagel/Naidoo MR69 A 60kg draw 4) Strode out okay but was a touch one paced. 59.4 seconds

8^th 10,35 Boulderdash  (Habib/L Crawford 60kg draw 9) Was a bit keen early and then outpaced in the straight but could improve if settling. 60.42 seconds

9^th 20,15 Shroud (Ngwane/Van Zyl (Jnr) s 59kg draw 5) Outpaced throughout. 61.74 seconds

10^th 21,95 Hacksaw Ridge (Mohapi/N Kotzen s 59kg draw 8) Full-brother to eight-time winning sprinter Easy Street, has some substance but outpaced and might need more time to mature like his sister who made her debut in the April of her three-year-old season. 62.04 seconds

1^st Thomas Shelby (De Gouveia/Van Wyk A 57kg draw 1) Showed fair pace throughout and a fair stride. 52.89 seconds

2^nd 1,60 Purple Persuasion (Randolph/A Wright S 56kg draw 4) Green but showed a fair stride. 53.09 seconds

3^rd 2,40 Me Before You (Veale/Wright S 56kg draw 6) Green but has some scope and a fair action although likely needs further. 53.22 seconds

4^th 7,60 Lady Legend (Pagel/Impey S 56kg draw 2) Speedily-bred Captain Of All filly, has good looks and a nice action but was very green. 53.99 seconds

5^th 8,75 Benino (Godden/Wright S 57kg draw 5) 54.15 seconds Strode out well but was green and a touch outpaced late in the trial.

6^th 31,35 Classic Rock (Lembethe/Roberts A 57kg draw 3) Has some substance and plenty of scope. Showed some early pace before becoming lost at sea but will be interesting when the penny drops. 57.87 seconds

1^st Diamondsandpearls (Dillon/Humby A 58kg draw 2) Tall filly with a nice rangy action, showed some pace and strode out well. 60.94 seconds

2^nd 1,20 Anuchke’s Wings (Gates -4kg/G S Kotzen S 58kg draw 6) Has scope and a nice big action and ran on well after being dropped out from a wide draw. 61.13 seconds

3^rd 3,40 Farm Yard Tractor (Jacobson/B Crawford a 59kg draw 1) Plain gelding, was green but in touch and pushed along to stay in touch in the straight. 61.48 seconds

4^th 5,65 Space Merchant (Wright/Nel SB 60kg draw 4) Strode out well without being asked a lot in the early stages but had to be given a smack in the straight to concentrate and responded well. 61.84 seconds

5^th 5,70 Zagara (Moodley/Forbes S 58kg draw 3) Big rangy type, one-paced throughout and will likely need further. 61.87 seconds

6^th 8,30 First Call (Zackey/Howells A 59kg draw 5) Dwelt and was then outpaced throughout. 62.27 seconds

1^st Inverroche (B Lerena/Dixon MR99 S 58kg draw 2) Has speed and class and led from the off. Strode out well. 59.76 seconds

2^nd 2,90 Star Vega (Randolph/Rivalland A 58kg draw 4) Imposing filly with a nice action. Ran on well from a few lengths off the pace. 60.21 seconds

3^rd 3,60 Classic Guard (De Melo/Dixon MR80 S 59kg draw 5) Showed some pace and strode out well without being asked a lot. 60.32 seconds

4^th 11,70 After Dark (Lembethe/Dixon s 58kg draw 3) has some substance and scope and stayed on well from last without being asked a lt. 61.56 seconds

5^th 15,40 Tintanda (Samuel/Dixon a 58kg draw 1) Smallish filly was outpaced throughout but can improve. 62.15 seconds

1^st Collabro (Kennedy/Bosch MR77 A 60kg draw 7) Settled nicely and strode out well behind a slow pace before showing a good turn of foot. 0.9 seconds.

2^nd 0,90 Highland Heather (Brown/Freedman A 58kg draw 1) Wanted to over race a little in the early stages but did stride out well and should be competitive next time out. 61.1 seconds.

3^rd 0,95 Hey Jude (Moodley/Hill MR71 A 58kg draw 6) Showed some pace with a shortish but quick action which should be suited to the poly. 61.11 seconds.

4^th 3,45 Perfect Pursuit (Jacobson/B Crawford MR82 S 59kg draw 8) This King Of Kings gelding is a full-brother to King’s Temptress, who won the SA Fillies Nursery on debut, and he showed good natural speed and a fine action in his races in Johannesburg. He refused to settle here when held up from a wide draw in his second trial for his new yard but did run on well and is still displaying that good action 61.5 seconds.

5^th 6,45 Oloye (Mohapi/B Crawford MR71 SBt 59kg draw 4) Was held up and ran on but was outpaced in the finish. 61.9 seconds.

6^th 7,95 Jumping Castle (Sakayi -2.5 kg/Van Wyk A 59kg draw 5) Dwelt and was outpaced but did stay on reasonably well. 62.1 seconds.

7^th 9,70 Paradise Lost (Pagel/Impey S 59kg draw 3) Still has to fill out. He showed fair pace but soon tired and will need another barrier trial. 62.4 seconds.

8^th 9,75 Karin B (Jacobs -4 kg/Impey  S 58kg draw 2) Has some scope but was green throughout and was not asked to do a lot. 62.42 seconds.

1^st Hey Boy (Zackey/Howells MR76 A 59kg draw 1) Strode out well and threw the front toe out nicely. 57.99 seconds.

2^nd 2,00 Jerry The Juggler (Randolph/Wright S 59kg draw 3) Has some scope and substance and strode out well but was green. 58.3 seconds.

3^rd 8,75 Whiffler’s Joy (Dillon/Humby A 58kg draw 5) Showed some pace and a daisy cutting action but was green throughout. 59.26 seconds.

4^th 13,85 In Jest (Lembethe/Rivalland A 58kg draw 2) Silvano full sister to a filly who took eight races to win her maiden (over 1600m). After being slowly away was outpaced but has some scope and should improve with age and over further trips. 60.1 seconds.

5^th 16,55 Kaikinsky (Ngwane/Bestel S 59kg draw 4) Awkward jump and tailed off but is a full-brother to the fair sort Beckedorf and has scope for improvement. 60.51 seconds.
