Kings Gambit steals the show

Kings Gambit was named ‘Horse of the Season’ at the 2008 Highveld Racing Awards Banquet held at the Regency Hyatt in Johannesburg last Saturday.
The star three-year-old by Silvano, out of Lady Brompton, was also named Champion Three-Year-Old and Stayer of The Season with two Grade I wins behind his name.

The Charles Laird team walked away with six awards including Champion Trainer. Major award winners on the night were:
