River Jetez swansong in Durban
J & B Met winner River Jetez looks like making her swansong in Durban after her connections considered and rejected alternatives as far apart as Johannesburg, Hong Kong and Dubai.
“At the moment she goes to Natal,” said Mike Bass. “I will see what I can find for her there and then she will be retired.”
Pocket Power’s year younger full sister has done well in Durban in the past.
She won at Clairwood last year when she was second in the Golden Bracelet and third in both the Drill Hall and the Gold Challenge.
In 2008 she was fourth in the July after winning at Clairwood and the Astrapak at Greyville. As a three-year-old she landed a Grade 3 at Scottsville as well as the Oaks at Clairwood.
