New chairman for Gold Circle
Gold Circle have announced that at a recent meeting of the board, Kim Labuschagne and Ashraf Mohamed were elected as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the company respectively, replacing John Bescoby and Hassen Adams.
Gold Circle also announced its intention to introduce a new stakes formula which, whilst subject to regular review, will initially have the effect that stakes will simply represent a percentage of the annual total of totalisator bets struck.
In order to achieve this, consideration is being given to eliminating the stakes paid on the fifth place. Also marginal decreases of between 1 and 2,5 % for the other four places are under consideration. Exact details will be released later.
