The grand finale of Champions Season is Super Saturday which brings Champions Season to a close in spectacular fashion. The day features four Grade One races headed by Horseracing’s Marathon, the R1,25 million eLan Property Group Gold Cup over 3 200m, an open handicap that is the greatest test for the cream of South African stayers.

The Grade One R1-million Champions Cup over 1 800m originally run at Clairwood is an open conditions race that features most of the country’s top horses and has an illustrious history dating back many decades.

The Premier’s Champion Stakes and the Thekwini Stakes are Grade One events each carrying stakes of R600 000 and are the ultimate tests for the two-year-olds over 1 600m at level weights and bring the country’s juvenile programme to a close.
