Trainer of the Month

NICOLETTE ROSCOE

Nicolette has been Assistant Trainer to leading KwaZulu-Natal conditioner Alistair Gordon for a long time but when Alistair was seriously injured in a motor accident she was thrown into the deep end to take over the reins of the operation.

With hard work and dedication she prepared the stable runners during his absence and got her rewards when Glen Hatt drove the Dupont filly Lady Magpie, the only filly in the race, to a narrow victory in the Grade 3 King’s Cup at Greyville.

The victory was a credit to her talent and professionalism which was highly praised by Alistair at the post-race presentation and an achievement worthy of this month’s award.
