MIKE DE KOCK

He has taken the racing world by storm and is rated one of the finest thoroughbred conditioners on the planet, an absolute professional and a great ambassador for South African racing.

With a total of 10 winners in the month including four at one meeting, it would have been sufficient for Mike to receive the award. But those 10 wins included the greatest prize of all, the Vodacom Durban July, where his runners Bold Silvano and Irish Flame finished first and second.

His achievements have been outstanding and, capping off another great season becoming the new champion trainer, was his superb win in Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event.
