Terry has been involved in racing since the middle 80’s and over the years with various trainers has enjoyed “about 30” winners.

“But the most exciting was with Noble Heir winning the Computaform Sprint – it was like Celtic winning nine in a row. But Lady Tamara is really coming along nicely.”

Racing is his passion and the most enjoyment and entertainment he has had in racing has been with trainer Dennis Bosch.

Drew said they had been wondering whether Lady Tamara would ever win a race then she obliged in fine style by winning two in a row. Trained by Dennis Bosch and ridden by Robbie Fradd, she was a winning favourite at Clairwood and followed it up with another winning run at the same course two weeks later.

Drew, who is involved in the filly Lady Tamara and an unraced three-year-old, has had his colours for about five years and began with a small share in one horse.

“Before I knew it, I was involved in more and had a share in the filly Noble Heir that won the Computaform Sprint.

“We were all up there for the race and behaved like teenagers when she won, it was fantastic. For a small owner to win such a big race it was incredible.

“Racing is great fun and it has given us plenty of pleasure.”
