As expected, the most successful riders in the province during the month were Anthony Delpech with eight wins, Kevin Shea and Stuart Randolph with seven and Anton Marcus with Five. They have the advantage of riding for the top stables and deserved their success.

But since moving into KwaZulu-Natal, Sean Veale has shown that he has what it takes to compete with the best and from his 38 rides he managed five wins, four seconds, six third and a fourth giving him a win/place percentage of 42.11%.

Not only was that a top-class effort but if punters had placed a R1 win bet on each of his rides they would have had a return of R73.20, the best in the province.
