Anthony Delpech and Anton Marcus are contesting the top spot on the National Jockey Log and Anton made dramatic inroads to Anthony’s lead last month and by the 29th of May was just eight winners behind.

That was thanks to a brilliant performance by Anton in KwaZulu-Natal in May when he booted home a massive 20 winners and secured places in another 21 races.  Anthony rode 11 winners and gained another 26 places.

Anton strengthened his position with a powerful ride on Delago Deluxe to win the Grade 1 Tsogo Sun Maverick Medallion at Scottsville, an overall performance in the month to earn the Gold Circle Jockey Of The Month Award.
