Jockey of the Month

It was a straight fight throughout the month between Anthony and Anton Marcus and while Anton finally won the Jockey Championship, Anthony scored the most wins and crowned it with victory in the Vodacom Durban July.

It was very close with Anthony riding 21 winners and 30 places and Anton 18 winners and 28 places.

They both deserved the award but the win in Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event just clinched it for Anthony.
