ATHANDIWE “ANT” MGUDLWA

Every now and then a young rider comes along who shows above average ability only to fade into obscurity after qualifying, finding it difficult to adjust to the tough race riding world on the open market.

But young “Ant” has, according to reports, shown a degree of maturity and discipline in addition to talent which has led to more opportunities and a bright future.

These qualities have served him well and during February he won more races in KwaZulu-Natal than any other rider, bagging 10 wins of which four came at Scottsville where he rode all four legs of the Jackpot.

It was an excellent performance overall with the “Jackpot” being the cherry on the top and worthy of this month’s award.
